Contract Specialist - GS-1102
These positions are involved in the acquisition of supplies and services. Assignments may include requirements determination and contract planning, business evaluation and price-cost analysis, negotiation, contract administration, and contract termination.
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the work of higher level contract specialists in contract formation and administration which may involve procurement planning, development of requests for proposals, broad agency announcements (solicitations), contract negotiations, awards, administration, terminations and close-outs, and perform acquisition planning, preparation of price/cost analyses for designated actions, formulation of negotiation strategies, development of negotiation objectives, and negotiation of contracts for the procurement of equipment, supplies, services, construction, Information Technology (IT) equipment, systems, and services to support research initiatives.
