Our Director

Alesia Pierre-Louis is the new Chief Learning Officer (CLO) and Director, Office of Strategic Employee and Organization Development (OSEOD) for the Department of the Interior. Alesia is a graduate of the Department’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program (SESCDP) and served as the Acting CLO/Director of OSEOD as one of her SESCDP developmental assignments.

Alesia comes to OSEOD from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) where she served as the Director, Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity. She also served as the Acting Associate Director, Human Capital, was a member of the USGS Executive Leadership Team, and was a valued and effective member of the USGS Leadership 101 teaching team. During her time with the USGS, Alesia took a proactive, collaborative, and creative approach to tackling issues of diversity and equal opportunity.

Prior to joining the USGS, Alesia was the Deputy Director, Diversity and Equal Opportunity for the Internal Revenue Service where she held a number of positions including that of Course Developer/Instructor and the Headquarters Education Branch Chief.
