Introduction to Grants and Cooperative Agreements for Federal Personnel

Description

This course will provide basic understanding of grants policy and procedures, describing the grant management process from concept definition through closeout and uses lecture, discussion, practical exercises, and case studies to demonstrate best practices. The Department of the Interior plays a central role in how the United States stewards its public lands, increases environmental protections, pursues environmental justice, and honors our nation-to-nation relationship with Tribes which includes administering a variety of financial assistance programs that award grants and cooperative agreements to individuals, Indian tribal governments, institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, and state and local governments. If your work involves or will involve implementing and managing Federal grants and cooperative agreements or providing grants-related assistance and services, you are encouraged to attend this training.
