Elevate Your Leadership: Two Premier Development Opportunities for DOI GS-14s & GS-15s

We're excited to share two exceptional leadership development programs from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) designed for GS-14 and GS-15 employees who aspire to lead at the highest levels. Both programs require supervisory approval.
1. Senior Executive Development Program (SEDP)
Prefer flexibility and self-paced learning? SEDP is a 40-hour, on-demand, self-paced video and podcast series designed for Senior Executives, Senior Professionals (SL/ST), and aspiring GS-14/15s. It equips you to:
- Champion administration priorities
- Sharpen leadership capabilities
- Strengthen accountability
Topics include: Constitutional governance, leadership, rulemaking, appropriations, budget, human capital, technology, and policy.
Cost: $1,200 (DOI group discount)
Registration Deadline: March 6, 2026
Registration and Payment Steps:
- Register using the SEDP Registration Form for DOI GS-14/15s.
- Pay using one of the following options:
- Government purchase card for individual payments.
- Add to your organization’s group payment agreement with the Office of Employee Development (OED). Contact shari_hanscomb@ios.doi.gov to discuss this option.
- You must both register and pay for the class to complete the registration process with OED. OED will then coordinate registration and payment with OPM to secure your discounted access.

2. Leadership for an Efficient and Accountable Government (LEAG)
Looking for a hands-on, immersive experience? LEAG is a 14-week hybrid program for high-performing GS-14/15 employees aspiring to SES roles. It combines:
- Virtual learning & two in-person sessions in Washington, DC
- Capstone experience
- Coaching & assessments
Cost: $8,500 (paid by your organization)
Cohort Details: FY27 dates available Spring 2026. Cohorts fill quickly—secure supervisor approval and funding early!
