About the Interior Acquisition Institute

The Interior Acquisition Institute is a center of excellence within DOI University committed to the training and development of federal acquisition professionals including program and project managers as well as to providing best practices, tools, and communities to support the career development of acquisition staff and managers.

We provide the full range of federal acquisition certification (FAC) training as well as continuous learning and developmental opportunities for the acquisition workforce. All of our acquisition certification courses map to the competencies established by The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) and the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI).

We provide FAI-verified training and are a recognized as a Federal Acquisition Institute Training Application System (FAITAS) Teaching School.

We can deliver training and learning products to your site to maximize your training budget while minimizing travel costs and have learning professionals who design customized learning solutions to meet the specialized needs of your acquisition workforce team.

We have partnered with DOI Learn to provide online training to facilitate continuous learning and to supplement certification training.

Our courses are open to all federal employees (DOI-wide and non-DOI).
