Join us to harness the potential of AI responsibly and ethically, ensuring it benefits federal operations and our stakeholders. This foundational course equips federal employees with essential knowledge on leveraging AI to enhance productivity while understanding and mitigating associated risks. Participants will gain insights into the responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI.  Participants will learn about AI concepts and their historical development.  

Supported by case studies of successful AI implementations in federal agencies, the course will highlight the benefits of AI.  It will also cover the various risks associated with AI, including security, ethical, legal, and operational challenges.  Delivered through a mix of lectures, interactive exercises, and discussions, participants will receive comprehensive course materials to support their learning.

  • Identify the key benefits of AI in productivity and innovation. 

  • Recognize security, ethical, legal, and operational risks associated with AI. 

  • Apply best practices for responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI in federal operations. 

Target Audience:

Federal employees who are not directly involved with AI technologies but want essential knowledge on leveraging AI to enhance productivity while understanding and mitigating associated risks and insights into the responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI and for continuous learning for those in IT, cybersecurity, policy making, and management roles.

Please forward the payment credit card link to your credit cardholder as we do not take payments over the phone. Payment is due at registration, and it is the attendee’s responsibility to ensure payment is made. Failure to pay in a timely manner will result in your being dropped from the course. Your office will need to pay our tuition fee with an authorized government purchase card and not through EFT. We accept federally appropriated funds to pay the course tuition. DOI University cannot accept non-appropriated funds from the private sector nor personal payments. Our preferred method of payment is an authorized federal government credit card.  

DOI University Training Policies  

DOIU will send a confirmation email with specific class information about one week prior to your class. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class until you receive email confirmation from Learning Center or Professional Development Staff.
