FCN 500 (DOIU) The Digital IT Acquisition Professional (DITAP) Program

Description

This 6-month DITAP cohort is designed to teach mid-level and senior-level acquisition professionals (program/project managers, contracting personnel, and contracting officer's representatives) how to design innovative and flexible procurements for federal IT/Digital Services such as human-centered design, iterative development methods, or cloud services through five Releases:

  1. Digital Services in the 21st Century Government
  2. Digital Services Market Intel and Stakeholder
  3. Analysis How Do You Buy?
  4. Awarding and Administering Digital Service Contracts.
  5. Leading Change as a Digital IT Acquisition Professional

Applicants:  FAC-C (Professional) and Level II/III FAC-C, FAC-COR, and FAC-P/PM certificate holders

Upon successful completion, all participants will be prepared to serve as digital services business advisors and will earn:

  • 80 CLPs,
  • a certificate of DITAP training completion, and
  • FAC-C Level II or III certified candidates will earn a FAC-C-DS Certificate.

The FAC-C-DS will soon be called the Digital Services Credential and will be available to contracting professionals, CORs, and PMs.

Per the 2018 Establishment of Federal Acquisition Certification in Core-Plus Specialization in Digital Services memo, Level II/III FAC-C acquisition professionals assigned to acquisitions consisting primarily of digital services over FAR 13.500(c) thresholds are required to enroll in DITAP and per the 2022 memo, Level II/III Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officers Representatives (FAC-COR) and Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) acquisition professionals assigned to acquisitions consisting primarily of digital services over FAR 13.500(c) thresholds are encouraged to attend DITAP training to create a cohesive team that fully understands how to buy digital services.
