FPM 132 - Fundamentals of Contracting for Projects

Description

This course provides the foundation for basic concepts required by the Contracting Competency and fundamentals needed to effectively manage Federal contracts and acquisitions and satisfies the contracting performance outcomes necessary for the Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) at the entry level. Program and Project Managers (P/PMs) are required to have a thorough understanding of federal contracting actions and the policies that apply to the acquisition process. This course provides an introduction to federal contracting and focuses on the different phases of the acquisition life cycle: acquisition planning, contract formation, and performance & administration. The course also introduces and explains; the things that must be done "right" to have a successful contracting process.
